Karmic Debt

If one accepts karmic debt for their suffering even though they may be a kind loving person then how will they ever think to free themselves from this injustice? How will they reconcile the contradiction of those who are wicked enjoying all the finer pleasures of life without any recognizable backlash?

Why do the most evil and ruthless in our history seem to be rewarded while the peace-loving and compassionate seem to suffer the most?

Why did war-like societies conquer the Earthly passive societies? Is it because their Karma was so good in the past that they could now get away with these acts in the present? Or are they building karmic debt for the future to be experienced by their children or descendants of their race? If you believe in karmic debt don't you then have to at least imagine karmic brownie points possible?

You would have to wonder whether as the result of karmic debt or as the result of the sins of your fathers, how it could be fair to anyone currently to suffer for actions by others in the past if it were not possible to free yourself from karma or the wrath of god.
